Local AI Hubs Could Create a New Privacy-First Software Ecosystem
UGREEN has introduced HomeAgent, a family of local AI hubs combining storage, computing, smart-home control and agentic AI inside the home rather than sending every interaction to external cloud services. For smaller software and IoT companies, the more important development is architectural: increasingly capable local AI hardware could support applications where privacy, latency or recurring cloud costs make conventional hosted AI unattractive.
