EU gives final green light: high-risk AI Act obligations delayed by sixteen months
The Council of the EU has given its final approval to the Digital Omnibus on AI, postponing the AI Act's high-risk obligations by sixteen months. The August 2, 2026 deadline that thousands of companies were racing toward has moved to late 2027.

European VC KOMPAS closes €160 million Fund II for industrial AI and the built world
Amsterdam-based venture firm KOMPAS has closed its second fund at €160 million, targeting startups that apply AI and software to industry, construction and buildings, sectors that produce a third of global emissions and run on decades-old tooling.
