Brussels forces Google open: rival AI assistants get full Android access, search data for sale from 2027
The European Commission has issued two binding decisions under the Digital Markets Act. Competing AI assistants will get the same access to Android as Google's own Gemini, and third parties will be able to license anonymized Google Search data at a regulated price.
