Syria’s Card Reconnection Opens a New Market for Payment Software SMEs
Syria has processed its first international card payment in more than 15 years after Mastercard and QNB Group reconnected the country's payment ecosystem to Mastercard's global network. For smaller fintech and commerce-software companies, the development could eventually create demand for merchant, reconciliation, checkout and operational software as international electronic payments return to the market.
