VYBE converts Rewardz’s existing rewards infrastructure into a simplified SME product.
The subscription costs S$8 per employee per month with no setup fee. Employees can choose between an annual allocation of 2,000 Asia Miles or monthly surprise benefits and also receive access to monthly vouchers, a rewards draw and a marketplace containing more than 100 offers. The service operates through a mobile-responsive web platform rather than requiring employees to install an application.
Rewardz says the programme can typically be launched within two weeks.
The infrastructure behind it is considerably larger than the target customer. Rewardz reports more than three million users and 300 clients across over 30 countries. VYBE effectively takes that existing supplier and rewards network and packages it for a smaller employer.
Three million users create infrastructure SMEs do not need to build
The product demonstrates a useful SaaS pattern for companies already serving enterprises.
Smaller customers frequently want the outcome of enterprise software without its configuration, procurement process or administrative workload. Removing those elements can create a separate SME product without requiring the underlying infrastructure to be rebuilt.
Employee benefits are particularly suitable because an individual SME has limited purchasing leverage. A platform aggregating many employers can negotiate and administer a catalogue that would be impractical for each company to assemble independently.
The same model could be applied elsewhere.
Compliance services, cybersecurity, procurement discounts, professional training and employee financial services all contain enterprise capabilities that smaller companies may value but struggle to administer individually.
For software providers, the interesting question is whether an existing enterprise product contains a component that can be standardised sufficiently to sell without consulting or implementation.
A practical test is to remove configuration rather than add functionality. Choose one enterprise capability and define a version that can be purchased at a transparent per-employee or per-company price, activated within days and operated without a specialist administrator.
The risk is margin compression. SME customers generally produce lower contract values and can require disproportionate support if onboarding is not genuinely self-service. The economics therefore depend on standardisation.
Rewardz has made that trade-off explicit with a fixed S$8 price and a stated two-week launch window. Whether VYBE achieves substantial SME adoption remains unproven, but the product architecture provides a useful example for B2B software companies considering how to move down-market without importing enterprise sales costs into SME contracts.
