African Wallets Gain a Shortcut to 150 Million Global Merchants

TerraPay has connected its Xend wallet interoperability network to Alipay+, initially enabling 15 African digital wallets to work across more than 150 million merchants in the Alipay+ ecosystem. For smaller African fintechs, the opportunity is distribution rather than another payment feature: international merchant acceptance can be added through one infrastructure relationship instead of building country-by-country acquiring connections.
